As you'll notice in my currently inhaling, I've dropped everything to read FIFTY SHADES OF GREY by E.L. James. Reading about this "mommy porn", piqued my interest and I just wanted to see what the fuss was. I went in knowing that it was based on TWILIGHT fan fiction so my expectations were exactly where I thought they'd be. Low. I'm glad that I was a right.
The writing is below average with a lot of repetition. Grammar needs work and punctuation needs a bunch of help. Ana is a very immature character who doesn't seem to understand the way of the world and can't decide if she's interested in the hottest man on earth, or at least Washington state. And this is my opinion before I've even hit the juicy parts! I'll continue reading to see what the fuss is. I see aspects of Ana/Bella and Christian/Edward just a tiny bit older and human.
We all know that Bella Swan is Stephenie Meyer's, Mary Sue and it seems to me that Ana is E. L. James' Mary Sue. Well back to the book.
Happy Reading Everyone!
