Though I haven't read any of her books yet, I do think it's awesome that Amanda was able to rise above the stigmas of self-publishing to write a solid, engaging book, and also that she was willing to put the work in to get her name and books out there and into the hands of readers. Not a lot of self pubbed authors take that extra step to market their books, or when they do, all they do is twitter-bomb or jack blog threads--both of which do the opposite of what is intended and turn me off wanting to read those authors.
